***With much thanks and appreciation I want to express our sincerest gratitude to the following organizations who have made this possible for us.
We have been so fortunate this year to receive several grants to allow us:
1) to travel to an art museum
2) purchase a new ~$3k L&L Kiln
3) invite a guest speaker to present financial literacy in art to 72 art students.
Michigan Youth Arts-Arts and Culture Trek Grant- Made it possible for us to take a bus to visit the Grand Rapids Art Museum.
Cressy & Everett Donation- donated $400 toward the purchase of a new kiln.
Buchanan Community Foundation- Golden Acorn Grant- awarded us $500 towards the purchase of a new kiln.
Youth Advisory Council Grant- awarded $1000 toward the purchase of a new kiln.
FUN Financial Education Institute Grant- awarded $1000 toward a 2 Day workshop with Anthony Schaller of Schaller Gallery in St. Joseph, Mi. The presentation focused on the financial aspects of an artist: budget, book keeping, investing, savings account, insurance, retirement, etc.
MEEMIC Golden Acorn Grant
Michigan Youth Arts, on behalf of the Michigan Council of Arts- awarded us funds to purchase a DSLR camera to photograph our art for portfolio. This activity is supported by Michigan Youth Arts and the Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affrairs.
